Monday Moxie: The Imagine Bus Project- INA Conference Charity for 2010
This year, INA has selected The Imagine Bus Project as its Annual Conference Charity. The Imagine Bus Project (TIBP) is an arts education organization that addresses the lack of visual arts programming in kindergarten through 12th grade by providing arts education to underserved children and youth in partnership with local school districts, juvenile detention centers, after school programs and community based youth organizations throughout the Bay Area.
The Imagine Bus Project reaches out to youth in underserved communities and provides them with sustained, positive and creative outlets for personal expression. Using visual arts techniques and working closely within communities, professional artists and educators bring thoughtful ideas to youth and empower them to explore their potential, develop critical thinking skills and build their self-esteem.
In addition to supporting The Imagine Bus Project through our Annual Conference raffle, local nanny support groups may wish to gather art supplies to donate. Due to the nature of the programming, it is asked only the following supplies on their wishlist be donated.
The Imagine Bus Project supplies wishlist includes:
Paint brushes
Acrylic paints
Drawing paper
Water color paper
Video projector
Please email admin@nanny.org if your group plans to donate supplies.
Saturday evening from 5:00 to 6:30pm will be the INA Conference Raffle. Your “Raffle Lady” Alice Shaffer and her Raffle helpers will be talking to you throughout the conference to get raffle tickets in your hands. Half of all monies raised during this raffle will go to the Imagine Bus Project. Make sure to bring your address labels to put on your raffle tickets. There are so many awesome raffle gifts for you to win. Help raise funds for the Imagine Bus Project while having fun at the INA Conference this year.
