Today we are sharing an article from one of our Nanny Fusion members.
This article is titled
10 Challenges for the Nanny of Work at Home Parents.
If you are considering taking a job with a family where one or both parents work at home, you should think about discussing these questions with the parents before you sign a work agreement.
Resolving these questions in an interview before you start the job helps keep them from becoming “issues” when you take the job.

Any thoughts on dad being the parent home instead of mom? While I find having mom at home simply annoying, I think having dad work from home while there is a female nanny present is inappropriate. I have had a few jobs like this, and once the dad started making comments about my clothes (“why don’t you wear a skirt sometimes?) and escalated to my underwear (“what size bra do you wear?”). Another time the dad was a perfect gentleman, but the mom was convinced he was checking me out. I will never again take a job where a straight dad is working from home.
That is an awesome thought! I’m going to have to try that since I absolutely can work past when should close down for the day as well!
