As so many of us are snowed in this weekend, what better time to take a few minutes and catch up with Regarding Nannies.
Snow Days equal the possibility of parents working from home, or many nannies work in this environment every day. NannyFusion member ENannySource provided us with 10 Challenges for the Nanny of Work at Home Parents.

INA Conference “Mad Money” Contest!
Most of you know how much I support going to conferences that help you continue to learn AND have a time to be social and feel like you are really part of a sisterhood.
Last couple of years I didn’t go due to some personal reasons. Unless something drastic happens, I am planning to go this year. I won’t be back in the USA till May 1st so I might be a little jet lag and incoherent, but I am coming!
Last Year I did a contest to offer nannies who were attending some “mad money”. They can use for meals, events, help with conference fee–it doesn’t matter. I know how tight money is and sometimes attending takes every penny. I want to offer you a way to have a little extra fun on me.
My contests are simple. You send me an email at thetravelingnanny@gmail.com with the word INA Conference in the subject line. You write me a short essay on any of these topics: A funny thing happened to me as a nanny, Why I love being a Nanny, The hardest part of my job is…., Hey, I want the mad money and this is why!!
I put the names of those who wrote me into a hat. On April 1st I pull a name out and when you get to the conference, I hand you the $. Basically, there is no “grading” of the essay so I don’t care how many words you mistype or grammar errors. I just want you to have fun with it and remind you that this is a crazy life but we love it!
Now since I am coming and have to pay my own conference fee, I don’t have as much money to offer, but anything is better than nothing, right?!
So I will have two winners who get $50 mad money. Write me any time but the deadline is March 30th.
Oh, and please don’t think because you are involved in the industry, make okay money that you shouldn’t apply! EVERYONE deserves to be recognized! Got questions? Just email me!
