Today we revisit one of our guest posts for Martin Luther King Jr Day.
Martin Luther King Jr day is celebrated this coming Monday January 19, 2015. Do you and the kids in your care discuss Martin Luther King Jr? Are you looking for some activities to do with them? Nanny Debra cares for two children a 5 year old and a 3 year old. She shared with us two activites and what she plans to do with her charges for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
I found these few ideas that would work for the two children I take care of. They are easy to do, and can be adapted to different ages. I plan to talk to the 3 year old about the differences between people, but how we are still the same and we can all be friends. I will hopefully be able to expand more on MLK with the 5 year old and explain a little bit more about the history of our country and what MLK did for all of us.
