The Financial Nanny
I wasn’t sure really where to go with today’s Financial Friday. It is March 4, 2011 and the deadline for so many “financial/money” things are coming up in the next six weeks. I will get to those deadlines in a few minutes. I decided to go back and look at what I had posted for Financial Fridays in March 2010 to give me some ideas possibly for today’s post.
Here they are:
Financial Friday: All the details for the 25th Annual INA Conference!
Financial Friday: Getting $125 for $100 Investment
Financial Friday: 100 Ads/Circulars!
Financial Friday: Wasted Time & Wasted Money Or Is It?
There it was staring me in the face “Wasted Time & Wasted Money Or Is It? I really enjoyed doing that post. Remembering that “financial, wealth, and money” doesn’t necessarily mean “money” but can be something “non materialistic” or “emotionally” fulfilling. What is even better was that I was questioning my time earlier tonight as I was “tweeting” in a chat with some bloggers. I was “procrastinating” writing the article for today’s post, but what I ended up finding was an incredible blogging connection with a blogger that will be able to help guide me in a direction that I was searching for some answers to. Technically I was “wasting time” by not doing my blog post, but I didn’t “waste time” finding connections for things I needed assistance in.
Last year when I posted this, it was in reference to the Regarding Nannies Essay Scholarship that we hosted for last year’s INA Conference. We are very excited to be hosting the Scholarship again this year. The deadline is Saturday March 19, 2011 at 8pm EST. All the details are listed here
I have shared various ways for you to get to this year’s INA conference or to save for other important things in your life. Yesterday, we had an awesome overview of the workshops being presented this year. There are so many ways to find money available for you to “afford” to do the things you would like to do in life. Over at Couponing To Disney, she uses rebates, couponing, freebies and other ways to save money to take her family to Disney. The best part is she shares her “magical” ways with her readers. I found a way to get the newest Hallmark recordable storybook for my nephew for FREE! I just posted a comment on the blog and won! I am so thrilled to do this book for Atticus!
Since we launched our 2011 Scholarship the other week, I have found that some other wonderful people in the nanny industry would like to help other nannies get to this year’s INA Conference. Some of them require less time and some require time to participate. But the bottom line is will you be making the TIME to participate in the options to invest in your educational opportunities for this year’s INA Conference or will you “waste the money” available to you to attend this year’s conference?
