You first!
by Charmaine Flanagan
As we spring into another month and season, it’s time to check in with ourselves about our health. Being healthy is not just about eating well; it’s about being balanced overall. How are you feeling in your career? Relationships? Physical activity? Spirituality? If you’ve answered any of these questions with “It could be better”; its time to make changes.
Each day you find yourself taking care of others and their well being and dealing with your needs last. It’s time to put YOU first. If you aren’t taking care of yourself there is no way you can be fully present to help others. Below are some action steps for you to take. Treat yourself well…you deserve it.
- Eat well. With each meal choose to make healthy eating choices, like organic whole foods that nourish you.
- Get moving. It’s really true! You have to move every day. Find something you really enjoying doing and do it.
- Connect to your higher self. Find a few minutes to sit and mediate each day. This is a great way to clear your mind and refresh yourself.
- Spend time enjoying good company. Focus on your healthy relationships that nourish you.
March is National Nutrition Month so what better time to start on your healthy path.
