Nanny Carol has been making her own laundry detergent due to allergies and other irritants for a year now. She shares with us today that recipe as well as the basic cleaning cleaner recipe her mother shared with her.
No Grate Laundry Detergent from One Good Thing by Jillie (this website has LOTS of make it yourself recipes some work better than other’s)
3 Tablespoons Borax
3 Tablespoons Washing Soda
2 Tablespoons Dawn Dish soap (blue one!)

This works well on basic everyday laundry…I change out and use a store one every now and then as I feel that it occasionally builds up in the clothes. (with towels use white vinegar every other month in the wash to “freshen”)
The Basic Cleaner (I got from my mother)
Mix 1/3 part White Vinegar and the rest warm water plus a couple of drops of Dawn in a spray bottle.
Shake lightly spray down area wait a minute or 2 then wipe up.
The Vinegar is a antibacterial agent and the Dawn helps with grease! Simple cheap and easy on your health!
