We are officially in 2012! I hope everyone had a wonderful end to 2011. With a new year before us we often make resolutions or goals for things we want to accomplish for the coming year. Have you ever included your children or charges in those resolutions? Marcia Hall of Strong Roots Family Coaching has a great post on how to include your children in New Year’s Resolutions. Just because it is the 2nd doesn’t mean it is to late to set up family goals for you and your children.
3. When your children come up with an idea, support it and invite them to explain it more thoroughly. Ask your children why this action and why now. Talk about how they will feel when this habit is created (or eliminated). Express to your children how proud you are that they have decided to take these big steps and let them know you will be there through the process. Ask your children to partner with you and hold each other accountable.
