As nannies, one of our strongest assets come from recommendation letters from former employers and those who have seen us in our jobs and community. We have over the past three years discussed the recommendation letter and the importance of it, but sometimes our employers just are not sure what to write in one. Our NannyFusion member, HomeWork Solutions/4NannyTaxes wrote an article on this.
When you write the nanny’s letter of recommendation, it is important to remember that this letter is not a thank you note to the nanny for good service. Rather it is directed to the potential hiring family – a family with young children like yours who is trying to decide whether the nanny will be a competent, caring, and dependable child care choice for them. You are writing this letter parent to parent.
