The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world!!! We may not always get the recognition we deserve but we all know our families can’t do it alone. Nannies supporting each other is a great way to feel good about what we do and having confidence in our choices is self recognition and if you don’t love yourself and what you do, it doesn’t matter if anyone else does!!
Best Wishes to you all,
Deb Phiri
To the one and only Mary Alger, who is not only a divine dream of a Nanny; but a riotously humorous and exceptionally giving. She cares for two little hearts that clearly adore her, making their childhood a wondrous adventure. She always has a bit of comedy in every situation. And she takes the time to bring together Nannies from all over the world in love fueled, appreciation filled, and overwhelming sense of spreading the happiness several times a year. To her it may not seem like much, but to Nannies like me who have precious few loved ones these exchanges between women who are all sharing a similar path in life and the same joy, who simply understand each other, it means the world.

Where do I even begin? Lora Brawley. The unmeasurable Lora Brawley. She hold together a community of like minded and kindred souls with grace, deft and compassion. She is fair and kind, direct and helpful and most of all; she is passionate about children, the people who love them and the women who choose to help fill in where loving parents have need. Her dedication to improving the lives of Nannies can not be questioned or equalled. Working tirelessly to create, offer, and lead crucial training workshops, sessions, bootcamps, and one on one consultations. Her knowledge and experience is a benefit to us all. And I for one, am so very grateful to her and her kind heart.

To Joanna Becker, whose modest nature and giving spirit humbles me twice over. She welcomed me sight unseen as a complete stranger, into her Nanny world, and I am so thankful to her for it. She is decidedly smart, discerning, fair, informed and wickedly funny! Thoughtful, kind and gracious to boot! She has made an indelible impact on our local community here in Baltimore for sure.

Sue Downey. Mythical creature or the actual Mary Poppins? All I can say about Sue is that, she is a miracle worker. I am genuinely not sure how she manages to do it all. From being a wonderful full time Nanny to making Nannypalooza happen every year, to National Nanny Training Day, somehow she finds the time, energy and passion to keep our national Nanny community engaged, inspired and educated. Being a Nanny would not be the same without you.

ADCAN’s Kellie Geres! The inspirational Kellie Geres, who came up to Baltimore to personally coach me on a Sunday afternoon as I was preparing for my first NNTD. Who still checks in with me to see if I ever need anything when new events are coming up. Who introduced me to Canva.(lol) Who has helped link me with other outstanding local Nannies who from where I am standing have a bit of celebrity status. Kellie, probably without knowing just how much, has really made a huge impact on me, both in my professional aspirations and in my leadership aspirations. It is not very often you get to publicly acknowledge those who have helped to change your life and I am so happy to be able to do it here!

To all of the ladies in Professional Nannies of Baltimore: I never imagined when this all got started two years ago that I would have met, befriended and come to admire so many kindred souls in my own backyard. Being a Nanny is my life’s purpose, it is my calling and it is happier now, that I have a local community to share it with. From our park dates to our zoo trips with enough strollers to take over an entire tram, exploring Baltimore anew with our littles in good company is an amazing experience. There is security, comfort and joy in those moments. We are helping to shape the next generation in our town, and lucky for them they will have positive roots and friendships that will span and last a lifetime.

Janice St. Claire: I want to come up a nanny award in your honor because you not only do so much but you are such a wonderful person. It was thanks to you and your newsletter, back in 2010 that I really, really joined the bigger nanny community. I was thrilled to know there was someone out there who took the time to put all those events and news together and that there was a whole support group right here in my backyard.
Years have passed and I still highly look up to you. You have such an integrity and clear values and I just really admire how you can still respond to hard situations the best possible way. You are so resourceful and we all know if you don’t know an answer to something, you will either help us find it or will leave us with some very encouraging and positive words and I thank you for that. I am pretty sure I can talk for all nannies who have come across your path: WE LOVE AND ADORE YOU!
Erin Caroll-Manning: Erin is my partner in crime! Wait, no… I don’t think that looks good on a nanny forum.. oh well, what the heck! Erin and I have been to great adventures and have grown together in our profession in the last few years. Always working hard to let the word out there about being a professional nanny, and empowering other nannies to fight for their rights, Erin has been the voice of many and I was proud to see her testify for the MA Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. She can be a bit misunderstood with her strong personality (ya think?! :p) but I know this wonderful woman, and friend, and I look forward to each and every project I get to be on board with her. Thank you for being YOU! I love you, lady!
Sue Downey: And who doesn’t love Sue? THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for creating Nannypalooza!!!!! Just like Janice was a big influence on my career, it was you who had Nannypalooza first! And luckily, they decided to have one in Boston, and voila, here I am! I had the pleasure of meeting you MD in 2012 and through the years in our various online encounters. Always so dedicated to our industry and most awesome, always having fun and having a good time doing what we love to be doing. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to see you again in a few weeks!
Sarah Mather: My very first nanny friend! Thank you so much for being there all these years and through so much! I love how passionate you are about kids and have always felt the kids under your care are so lucky to have you and so are the parents!!!!
Devon Bushouse: Another wonderful nanny who joined us all the way from MI. I love having her around and she has just been an wonderful co-host at NDR! I love how she;s so yong and fresh and so eager to learn and grow professionally. I am sure you will all be hearing more and more about her in the furture 🙂 xoxo
Kelsey Pimpton: Thank you Kelsey for turning my writing into beautiful and smart blog pieces 🙂 I had told you before, I wish I could hire you to be my editor! I also love how passionate and creative you are. You always have wonderful projects going on with The Art in the Park and lots of wonderful sensory activities. We are all lucky to have you around!
Darlene Reynolds: Another strong and wonderful and passionate lady I had the pleasure to meet this past year! Love hanging out with talking to you and being contagiated with so much energy! I miss you lady, and hope we can have playdates soon!
Diana Ancira: Through ups and downs, Diana has been there for many of us, in our nanny community. Always so friendly and ready to lend a shoulder, it was a treat having her around in the last few years. We were sad to see her move but we know you will be loved and happy whenever you are!
Gregge Highland: Thank you, lady for taking us to an amazing fall outing last year! Thanks for understanding the “Thaty way”, share my sarcasm and dry humor, and hang out with the nannies when I don’t feel like answering texts :p You are awesome and I truly love having you as a nanny friend in our group 🙂
Nicolette Meinert: Niki is always there for her friends and I really appreciated her help when I applying for a leadership project at my college. Not only that but Niki is always ready to help others and lend a hand, or a few words of encouragement when needed. I have seen how passionate she is and how dedicated she is with the kids in her care. She is super creative and selfless share her ideas with friends, so, the less creatives ones (read, me) can take advantage of those as well. Thank you, dearie!
To all “my” wonderful ladies of the Nanny Breakfast Club and other social media groups: I figured this would take forever if I were to address each and every one of the nannies who have helped me out in the past so I am sorry but I have to do a bulky one! Thank you so much to “my” wonderful ladies of the Breakfast Club! Years before it was created, it was just a two-three nannies getting together weekly but look at us now! Ok, OK, the current number at breakfast is not really thaaaaat greater but we have met some wonderful new friends and the support we get is wonderful. THANK YOU! And of course, to all the other wonderful ladies of the Nanny Network, Nanny Care Tribe, you are all amazing and I feel truly blessed to be in a community full of passionate and dedicated people! It is really terrific and I doubt we could get this kind of support and friendship in other industries! NANNIES ROCK!!!!!!
With much love and admiration for you all,
Thaty Oliveira (aka nanny Thaty)
To The Central Florida Nannies:
Since 2003, I have been blessed to be among some of the profession’s most affectionate, empathetic, encouraging, respectful, playful, educated, trustworthy, reliable, responsible and professional Nannies. I respect each and every one of you and am proud to have shared all of the highs & lows of the profession with you. Now that I am a mom myself, I am so grateful to call you my friends & sisters in life. You truly bring magic to every family (including mine!) that you come in contact with! Each of you are a joy to be around! I wish you a week of happiness and a lifetime of knowing you’ve made a difference in the lives that you’ve touched. Happy NNRW!
XOXO! ~Marcia
Dear
Nanny Marcia,
Marcia, since the beginning, I knew you were and will always will be my Nanny Mentor! To one of the coolest Nannies I know, you rock Taz Loukas! You stand out among others for your approach and love of what you do, proud to count you as one of my friends as well as a fellow Nanny!
Lindsey
Nannies lead a charmed life. Our path is solidarity outside of our littles. We play, teach, explore, nurture and set out on adventures all in the hopes of creating a childhood filled with wonder, love and joy. And that honestly is thanks enough, the squeals if delight on Monday morning, the random I love yous, being able to go back and see just how small they were. All of that joy is only further multiplied when we are lucky enough to find a Nanny-Partner-In-Crime! Lindsey Stilling, I am so happy we are friends! You are a mother at heart and it shows in your nanny kids.
Thank you Kellie Geres, Alice Shaffer and Sue Downey for all your time you give to the nanny community. You guys rock!

Happy NNRW everyone! Leah
Thank you TJ Kinlon for being a friend, answering my questions, helping me with professional advice, being supportive and encouraging me. You are fun to be around and I am glad I know you:) Hugs, Rhonda
Thanks also to Nancy Kanouff for all her ongoing hard work to maintain a supportive Massachusetts Nanny Network on Facebook! I meant to get that in on time for publishing with the rest of the accolades, but have been swamped with personal issues. Thank you, Nancy!
I just want to thank the most amazing Nannies in the USA who have made feel vey welcomed by allowing a British Nanny into their groups.
You are all wonderful ladies.
I look forward to spending a fun weekend with you all at Nannypalooza.
Have a lovely week.
Helen McCarthy
I have discovered some new things from your web-site about desktops. Another thing I’ve always presumed is that computer systems have become something that each family must have for many people reasons. They supply you with convenient ways to organize the home, pay bills, search for information, study, focus on music and even watch tv series. An innovative technique to complete these types of tasks is to use a laptop. These pc’s are portable ones, small, robust and lightweight.
