The cold weather has certainly arrived here in the United States full force before the official start of Winter in two weeks. As professional nannies, parents and grandparents want to keep their darlings warm in the car as they go from place to place, safety needs to be remembered. Many times we bundle the children up in snowsuits, puffy winter coats and other types of warm weather gear-but these are actually a danger to the children when they are in their carseats. Please check out three places for more tips on how to keep your kids safe in their carseats during the cold weather season!
Many Moms love the JJ Cole Bundle Me. It has a plush bottom layer that goes under the baby, in the carseat. The bottom layer has vertical cut outs for the harness to come through, then you buckle Baby, then there’s another plush layer that goes over top of Baby. Sounds warm and toasty, right? Sounds dangerous to me. There are 2 problems with the Bundle Me.
RanaAurora has a great YouTube video demostrating the importance of not using winter coats with carseats. Please take the five minutes to watch this video.
