Social Media is an amazing thing. Just on Friday the world shared in joy of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katherine. Sunday night we watched along with the rest of the world the announcement that Osama Bin Laden had been killed by a mission of US operatives on Sunday morning. The news of both spread fast and furious like the wildfires in California and other places do. It shows us that no matter where we are located we have resources to tools at our fingertips. How does this pertain to being a professional nanny? Lots! The internet, Facebook and Twitter provide connections for nannies and those involved in the industry. From finding jobs, playdates, support groups, conference opportunities, and webinars the information is here on the internet within a few clicks.
In 11 days the 26th Annual International Nanny Association Conference will begin. We at Regarding Nannies will be there along with the other conference attendees. One of the awesome things we get to do here at Regarding Nannies is share wonderful resources of all levels to all the professional nannies in our audience. Our goal has always been and will continue to be providing strong resources for a strong, professional nanny foundation.
If you are not able to come this year to the conference, don’t let that stop you from having your own “mini nanny conference”. Here are the links for the speakers we have featured. Check them out and educate yourself on them during May 12-15. This way you are “with” us in spirit. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter as we post updates from the conference on our social media outlets as well as the INA’s Facebook and Twitter.

Don’t worry you can still start saving with Smartypig as I have outlined in the past two years these articles on saving for conference. INA Conference: How Can I Afford to Go?
Stay tuned for Monday May 23rd for an exciting opportunity for another conference on the East Coast this fall.
In addition to the wonderful speakers that are featured here at Regarding Nannies, we have NannyFusion page (upper left corner link on navigation bar above logo) that has links to various agencies, blogs and companies that provide resources for the nanny industry. This is an excellent resource for knowledge as well.
No matter if you are able to or not able to attend the conference make sure you check out these speakers, agencies, nannies and companies as they all provide wonderful resources to make our career choice as professional nannies better. The connections and networking you make today may assist you later in your career.
If you are able to join us in Tampa, make sure to come to our Networking Break on Friday morning. We would love to put names with faces of our readers.
