Weekend Round Up by Glenda Propst
National Nanny Recognition Week is almost over but I think this years’ celebration of professional nannies, and this years Nannypalooza events were so successful and such a positive way to recognize those who dedicate their lives to loving and caring for other people’s children. You all did a fabulous job and we just have to give a huge round of applause to the “Amazing Sue Downey” from the National Association of Nanny Care who was the driving force behind this years Nannypalooza.
On Monday Moxie Greta’s article on”Preventing Isolation “staying connected was really an important aspect of this profession. As always it contained great information that is helpful to all of us.
On Tuesday Tips: Kellie shared with us “Ways to Show Appreciation” to your nanny.
On Wednesday’s Creative Nanny, Glenda shared a recipe for “Owl S’Mores” from the Living Locurto Blog.
On Thursday Table Talk we asked you to send Notes to Honor Nannies….and you did. Nannies took the opportunity to thank those who made a difference in their lives both personally and professional. We also had notes from a few parents and children who wrote notes to thank their nannies. You don’t want to miss this post! (Your name might be there too!)
Today is the last day of NNRW….if you are a nanny………do something special for yourself. Get your nails done, or have lunch at your favorite place, splurge on dessert or just give yourself permission to take a break, but do something to celebrate you!
On Financial Friday, Alice told us about another site that posts special deals at reduced prices.
All the links are included above.
Here at Regarding Nannies we are already making plans for next years’ NNRW celebration.
Next week on Regarding Nannies you don’t want to miss the Monday Moxie:
Anatomy of a Work Agreement, and Greta will have another group of her favorite things on Tuesday Tips. Thursday Table Talk Kellie will be sharing with us about ADCAN’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. (ADCAN is the oldest , largest and longest running support group in the USA)
Have a great weekend!
Thanks to the Regarding Nannies team for helping us to spread the word about Nannypalooza and their support of events everywhere. You guys really support nannies all year long!
